Our Colleagues at the 2026 Budapest–Bamako Rally

This year, two of our colleagues took part in the Budapest–Bamako Rally, the world’s largest amateur off-road rally, which starts in Europe and stretches across Africa all the way to the finish line. The journey of several thousand kilometers is not only a physical and technical challenge, but also a serious mental test for all participants.
After the start, the teams quickly left Europe behind and began the African stages, where they encountered significant challenges already in the first few days. The diverse terrain – from mountain roads to desert الرمال – required constant adaptation.
According to their reports, several technical difficulties arose along the way, but the team’s perseverance and resourcefulness helped them overcome these obstacles. The vehicles were under continuous strain, making daily maintenance a crucial part of the journey.

One of the most memorable parts of the rally was the desert stage, where navigation and route selection proved to be critical. On multiple occasions, they had to drive through difficult terrain, requiring considerable driving experience.
The team successfully crossed the borders of several African countries, marking important milestones along the route. Each new country brought fresh challenges and unique experiences.
The rally is not only a competition but also a strong community experience: participants often help each other in difficult situations, and many friendships are formed along the way. Shared camps in the evenings and exchanging experiences are an integral part of the event.
Based on their updates, they also met many local communities, which provided unique cultural experiences. The rally also has a strong charitable aspect, with participants delivering donations to those in need.

Throughout the journey, our colleagues remained determined and resilient, continuously documenting their experiences on social media. Their posts offered insight into daily challenges, technical issues, and successes alike.
Overall, the Budapest–Bamako Rally once again proved that it is much more than just a road trip – it is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that tests both people and machines.
We are proud of our colleagues’ performance and their participation in this extraordinary challenge.
